مافيه بيض في الباذنجان ( إسم الباذنجان بالإنجليزي شجرة البيض )

No ham in the hamburger
مافيه لحم خنزير في ساندويتش الهامبورجر ( لحم الخنزير اسمه هام )

And neither pine nor apple in the pineapple.
مافيه صنوبر ولا تفاح في الأناناس
pine صنوبر
apple تفاح
لما نجمعهم تكون الكلمة pineapple تطلع أناناس

English muffins were not invented in England
الكعك الإنجليزي مو إختراع إنجليزي

French fries were not invented in France
والبطاطس الفرنسية مو إختراع فرنسي

Boxing rings are square
صحيح ليه يقولون في حلبة الملاكمة هذا الاسم
لأنهم يقولون دائرة أو حلقة الملاكمة وشكلها مربع


If the plural of tooth is teeth
Shouldn't the plural of phone booth be phone beeth
ليه فيه إختلاف في تحويل المفرد للجمع والكلمات شبيهة بعض
مثلا عندنا في العربية :
رجل = رجال
حبل = حبال
سن = سنون
فن = فنون

بس في الإنجليزية ماعندهم هالشي
مثلا :
tooth = teeth
booth = booths
